Hey, everybody. Today at 4.30 a.m. I have arrived at the house of my
host family. I picked my pajama from my luggage and I slept until 9.30 a.m. But
I will explain you first what happened yesterday in the trip: I woke up at 7 am to arrive the airport with
time. I took the plane on time with no delay and I arrived in Paris at the expected
time. I went by bus to the terminal where I had to catch the biggest plane in the
world (I'm sorry that I didn't take any picture of it so that you could see how
big it was). The plane took off on time, so no problem until there. In the
plane I was sitting in the middle of a 3 seat module. On my left there was a
French girl who didn't speak in the whole trip, and on my right there was an
American girl from Minnesota who was 18 years old. I have been speaking
with her for a while during the take off and the landing. Because she had a
cold I offered her one of my tissue papers, but at the end she took all of
them, poor girl... But anyway, we arrived earlier than expected. However, in NY
all the problems started. I had to catch the flight to Richmond at 7 pm and it
was 4 pm (NY time;remember that). The guy that picked us didn't ask if we had
to catch another flight or if our trip had ended. So we went to pick the
luggage and then he brought us to the arrivals area. I asked him if after leaving
the other guys with their families he was going to take me to the plane. But he
didn't even know that I had to catch another flight, so he called another man,
and he let me with a bro (yeah man) who started asking me things from Spain,
and I wasn't really in the mood to answer him because I was exhausted. He
guided me to the terminal where the last plane had landed and when we were
checking the next flight data ... they told us that it had been delayed until
9. So what a pity and all that but it didn't really matter a lot to me. The bro
took me to a room where I had to wait for the time being, so I decided to sleep
a little bit because although there where 4 more kids in the room, they where
all with their phones without making any noise. So when it was almost 9 they
told me that the flight had been delayed until 10, then until 10.30, 10.45
and 11. Then at 12 we were going to take off but they told us that there
was a problem with the oxygen and that we all had to get off the plane (I
thought I was going to die on my seat). until
finally we took off at 2 am because the plane wasn't ready or something like
that. So while everybody was complaining, I was sleeping again next to another
bro, and finally at 1 am or something like that we got on the plane (I was like
a zombie). Then they told us that the plane wasn't ready and that we had to
wait 15 minutes until it got ready, yes... 15 minutes 3 times because finally
we took off at 2 am. I was feeling like: wow, I have been now 24 hours without
sleeping, and then when all the other kids left the room where I was, a woman
and a man started looking their Facebook and laughing all the time, so I
couldn't sleep. Finally we reached Richmond at 3 am, which was the time
when I think my parents woke up. So... time for breakfast!!
Graham was waiting for me, so we went to the parking after picking the luggage
and he took me to the Green’s house on a really cool Dodge. We arrived at 4.30
am, Quint was sleeping and Lexi was waiting for me in the living room. I went
to bed and I woke up at 9.30 as I said. I spent the rest of the day unpacking
my luggage and playing a little bit of videogames with Quint. I had a sandwich
for lunch and at 6 we went for dinner!!! At 6!! Anyway, we ate with two friends
of Graham and Lexi and their daughter and after that we went to get the SIM
card for my mobile phone. Now I can call without any costs to Spain. Now at
9.30 I'm finishing this post, Quint is behind me playing Need For Speed, he's
crashing all the time jajaja. So I think that it is more than enough for today.
I'm "reventado", no pictures today
Wow, Sergio, I didn't know NYC was that bad. I am so sorry! A least we let you sleep here, with hopefully little noise. You are going to have to get used to early dinner though. We don't usually eat two hours before bed. I am really glad you're here!
